Ruen Kaew Buddha Sculpture
Flower installation
This floral sculpture was created for Karava as an interpretation of the Ruen Kaew Buddha. The installation translates the Buddha's aura into an abstract floral form through symbolism, movement, and material composition.
The work is built around two contrasting elements. The first, Light, is expressed through white flowers that radiate outward, evoking a sense of illumination, serenity, and spiritual presence. The second, Suffering, is represented through knotted, coiled forms that symbolize the entanglement and weight of human suffering. Together, these opposing gestures create a visual dialogue between struggle and enlightenment, reflecting the spiritual journey embodied by the Buddha.
