Installation
Many often say, "We eat with our eyes first." Before food is ever tasted, its colours, textures, and composition begin shaping our expectations. Our perception of taste is therefore not determined solely by the tongue, but also by the visual experience that precedes it.
This work explores the relationship between sight and taste by deconstructing a familiar dish into its individual ingredients and reassembling them into sculptural forms. Rather than representing a meal, it examines how visual presentation shapes our expectations of flavour, suggesting that taste begins long before the first bite and that eating is as much a visual experience as it is a physical one.
